This page, when finished, will detail our history as a class and as a school. How was the decision made to build Palo Duro High School? Who built it and how? Where did the class of 1965 come from? The journey that led to our arrival at Palo Duro in the fall of 1962 followed many different paths. For some who were born in Amarillo, that journey led them from the local elementary schoo to Travis or Horace Mann Jr. High, and on to Palo Duro. For others the journey followed a more complicated route. The base kids traveled the world during the years before high school, and many found their way to Palo Duro from across the globe. All those journeys will be included in the links below. When these historical stories are finished, we will know a great deal more about ourselves.
